Kuala Lumpur - Batu Caves

These limestone caves are home to a Hindu temple and shrines - and bats, and macaque monkeys and a few thousand tourists.  We were only in KL for a few days so made the most of our first day by visiting the Batu Caves in the afternoon.

So if you like a bit of colour in your day, a few thousand tourists, a stair climb and the terrorist macaque monkeys stealing everything they can along the way - then this is the place for you!

Ellen and Blair pre-temple visit!

So in Australia when we think of limestone caves, we think of stalagmites and stalactites - not those sort of caves!  Think of bats and guano,.... and temples apparently.

The very naughty terrorist monkey - the macaque.  I think I need to dedicate a page to these monkeys and their antics.
